After much wise counsel and consideration we feel led to leave China and return to the states. We are deeply saddened to leave China. It is difficult to explain in detail all the factors we took into consideration to make this decision, but the major overarching issue is Kara's health. We are unable to sustain a viable diet for her to maintain stable well being. We were hoping to see marked improvement in her health that would indicate to us that staying long term was a viable option. Unfortunately, her health has continued to slowly decline.
In a way, we view this as an answer to our requests. We were seeking His will as to His plan for us in China. He has made it abundantly clear that we cannot effectively work here given our strict dietary needs.
We are not sure what the future holds when we return in July (8 weeks); we are hoping to continue to work in full time service in some capacity. We are beginning to explore current opportunities, but nothing is certain as of yet.
