Yesterday I had the distinct honor and privilege of being a guest on a local radio show. Apparently being a foreigner has its perks!
The host asked me a lot of questions about differences between America and China, what I liked most about living here, etc. But I also had an opportunity to share about my marriage. Marriages in China are very difficult; it is believed that marriage means your life is over. As a result, Chinese people seek to delay marriage as long as possible. After a brief description of my marriage, the host asked me to explain why I was so happy with my wife and why our relationship was so good. And so I did. I explained who can be at the foundation of our relationships and help us to practice forgiveness and humility.
I thought it was time to give credit where credit was due.
